The only difference being how much easier it is today to see that he was right, than it was in 1939. Read it here. Obama! Oh No! Does Obama really stand for change? Of course not. He won't close all foreign military bases. He probably won't close any. He won't bring all American troops home. He won't stop bullying other countries. He won't stop the wars. Anthony Gregory explains it clearly. Civil Liberties in Obama's America Obama is prosecuting Bradley Manning for helping expose the premeditated murder of Iraqi civilians by the US military. …The majority must be persuaded by ideology that their government is good, wise and, at least, inevitable, and certainly better than other conceivable alternatives. Promoting this ideology among the people is the vital social task of the "intellectuals." For the masses of men do not create their own ideas, or indeed think through these ideas independently; they follow passively the ideas adopted and disseminated by the body of intellectuals. The intellectuals are, therefore, the "opinion-molders" in society. And since it is precisely a molding of opinion that the State most desperately needs, the basis for age-old alliance between the State and the intellectuals becomes clear. Murray N Rothbard

I use Business Professional from Database Creations in Connecticut. It's a Microsoft Access database that is fully customizable. So you can change any form and add capabilities to suit your needs. I've been using their software since 1997. I like it, and most importantly, I trust it! While the internet is a pretty good thing (my business wouldn't be as successful as it is without it) much of the content on the World Wide Web is pretty disgusting. If I had young children, I certainly wouldn't have a television set in the house, and I'd lose a lot of sleep over how to deal with what my kids were seeing on the web. Guilty of Mass Murder? The public relations firm Hill & Knowlton produced the false stories of Iraqi soldiers pulling babies out of incubators in Kuwait, stories that were used, along with others, to convince Americans that the US should go to war with Iraq in 1991. Read all about it here. Do you think Hill & Knowlton contributed to the deaths of not only several score American service men, but also to the deaths of thousands of Iraqi conscripted soldiers, and unknown tens of thousands of Iraqi civilians, including infant children, by the bombing that ensued? Should Hill & Knowlton be held accountable?
AIDS/HIV The Obstinate Community of The Unconvinced I'm not a scientist, just curious about lots of things, including AIDS. Peter Duesberg's highly controversial and fascinating website critical of the HIV/AIDS hypothesis. Peter Duesberg, Claus Koehnlein and David Rasnick's article claiming AIDS is caused by drugs; both the drugs used for recreational activities, and those to purportedly treat HIV. The NIH website critical of Duesberg's DRUGS/AIDS hypothesis, and their "Fact Sheet" purporting to prove the HIV/AIDS hypothesis. The Rethinking Aids website, and their rebuttal to the NIH. The Perth Group claim that the existence of HIV has not been proven. This scientist quit the HIV business. Has HIV ever been isolated? A fascinating article in Harper's magazine by Celia Farber. Even some Canadians are questioning the HIV juggernaut. The Establishment view, in a nutshell. Why is "African AIDS" so different? Fun Facts, to know and tell: Glaxo Wellcome, the manufacturer of AZT has this to say about their drug. "it is often difficult to distinguish adverse effects possibly associated with AZT administration from the underlying signs of HIV disease." I wonder, is that another way of saying that AZT causes AIDS? Just Wondering... Why are we spending hundreds of billions of dollars "defending" ourselves from a few swarthy guys with box cutters?
Governments Love War Given what the United States is doing in Iraq, it seems to me that the intent of our government is to make more enemies for America. This is good for the defense business, but bad for everyone else. Here's a shocking account of how many of our troops are acting in Iraq, in their own words. If this sort of behavior can possibly have any positive effect, I'd love to hear what that could be. From my reading of the situation, US troops are doing in Iraq what they did in Vietnam, what the French did before them in Vietnam, what the French did in Algeria, the British did in India, the US in the Philipines and virtually all colonial powers have done all throughout human history. Essentially, we treat the locals as sub humans, killing and maiming whomever we choose to, all in the name of "self-defense". Of course, if the US military wasn't in Iraq, US troops wouldn't need to "defend" themselves from the local population.
Will the person who did this to Ali Ismail Abbas ever be punished? Why we must address US war crimes. Feeling a bit too human? Join the military. They'll straighten you right out. Glenn Greenwald regularly dissects the lies of corporate media, the creeps who extoll the virtues of the warfare state. Our brave men in uniform? Murdering civilians, and then covering it up. But Americans do feel some responsibility for the behavior of our foreign armies of occupation, right? Should foreign governments treat US prisoners of war the same way that the US government treats foreign prisoners of war? If so, this documentary lays out a blueprint of how we do it. I'm providing this link as a public service, so that any foreign governments will know exactly how it should be done. Everything you've needed to know about Iraq, but were too terrified to ask. Why occupying troops commit atrocities against civilians. Do you love war? If so, you'll hate this.
If you were Ali Ismail Abbas, and had an opportunity to meet George W Bush, would you shake his hand? Oh, never mind. When fools go to war. The US has spent billions of dollars and thousands of lives "liberating" Afghanistan and Iraq. Please read this if you think it's worth it. Silk purses from sow's ears. War in Iraq? What War in Iraq? George W. Bush & Cho Seung-Hui, Comrades in Arms. See this PBS report on how the media deliberately misled the public in the months preceding the invasion of Iraq. It's ironic that this comes from Bill Moyers, who helped Lyndon Johnson bamboozle the public about the dire threat to civilization from North Vietnam some forty years ago. Here is what some soldiers think of this lovely little war. Read the Fight To Survive blog. The Russian Gulag is gone. But don't worry, all you lovers of torture and slavery, we've got one here. The American Gulag, read all about it. Makes you proud! "Another neighbor, a patriarchal old Englishman with a white beard, kept a great stand of bees. I remember his incessant drumming on a tin pan to marshal them when they were swarming, and myself as idly wondering who first discovered that this was the thing to do, and why the bees should fall in with it. It struck me that if the bees were as intelligent as bees are cracked up to be, instead of mobilizing themselves for old Reynolds' benefit, they would sting him soundly and then fly off about their business. I always think of this when I see a file of soldiers, wondering why the sound of a drum does not incite them to shoot their officers, throw away their rifles, go home, and go to work."
