Supernova Headlights & Taillights
Supernova is a German company making some of the finest bicycle lights you can buy. They are best known for their battery powered lights like the Airstream, and the highly regarded E3 Pro 2 dynamo headlights. The Supernova headlight controls any of their optional taillights; one style for rear rack mounting, and another for mounting on a seatpost. These are the same taillights that Supernova makes to be paired with their 6 volt dynamo powered headlights Supernova headlights should only be used with Supernova mounts. Other mounts may not be strong enough for the Supernova headlights. There is no mount available that allows positioning the E3 at the fork crown with low profile cantilever brakes. Wide profile cantilever brakes can be compatible, if the yoke is positioned high enough. On larger frames a high yoke position shouldn't be a problem. Fork crown mounting with V brakes or disc brakes works very well with the included Multimount. And the optional Handlebar mount versions will work on handlebars (well duh) or on any number of mounts that replicate handlebars like the Cronometro Nob or other similar devices. The E3 E-Bike V521s headlights are only available in Black anodized finish. Supernova E3 E-Bike V521s 5 volt to 21 volt
This headlight is for any E bike having a 5 volt to 21 volt headlight connection to the battery. It makes no difference what the battery's voltage is for driving the motor, as long as the bike provides a connection from 5 volts to volts, this is the headlight to use. Supernova V1260 12 volt to 60 volt DC The V1260 is compatible with most any E bike having a 12 volt to 60 volt headlight connection to the battery. It makes no difference what the battery's voltage is for driving the motor, as long as the bike provides a connection from 12 volts to 60 volts, this headlight will work. The newest E Bike systems are providing 12 volts for the lights.
Supernova Taillights
The TL-2 has three bright LEDs, excellent side illumination, and mounts to a rear rack with the standard European light mount having two holes, 50mm apart. The Supernova headlight provides power to the taillight and also provides a standlight mode for a few minutes while you're stopped at a traffic light. We stock these in Black Anodized, Grey Anodized and Silver Anodized.

Supernova Spacer Kit for TL-2 taillights, Part # SUPH161-SP-T: $
New for 2014, the TL-2 is available with the wire coming off the bottom of the light. This makes mounting the light to many racks easier, since you no longer need to space the taillight away from the rack to make room for the wire. Since the wire points downwards, you'll want about 3/4" clearance under the light so as not to kink the wire. Black Anodized only. This version of the TL-2 mounts to a seat post. It attaches with a thick rubber "O" ring. Since it's easy to attach and remove, you also get a pair of the Supernova gold plated connectors for the wiring. This mount allows any Supernova e bike headlight to be mounted on a handlebar. We have these in in Black only. The grey version pictured in the photo is no longer being made. Supernova New Handlebar Mount: $ Since the headlight is so easy to remove from the bike with the handlebar mount, you may want to take it off yourself when parking the bike. in that case you'll also want the Gold Plated Connector Set. See below. Wiring for Bosch If your e bike uses a Bosch motor, you'll need their special connectors. We have these for both headlights and taillights. Supernova quick release electrical connectors are available. If you want to be able to quickly remove a handlebar mounted headlight, or one of the seatpost mounted taillights, but leave the wiring attached to the frame, these little gold connectors are ideal. You get a set of two, that's enough for the power and ground side. Set of two connectors: $ 16.00 That's not cheap, and you can get connectors from Radio Shack that will do the job. But these connectors hold together firmly, but still pull apart easily by hand, so once installed in your wiring, the connectors are not going to come loose no matter how many times you connect and disconnect them.
