TA Carmina Compact
The Spécialités TA Carmina Compact crank is beautifully finished with a 110mm spider. Chainrings are available in silver or black, depending on type and size. With TA Zephyr or Syrius chainrings, it's the ideal crank for compact gearing in 8, 9 or 10 speed drive trains. With Syrius 11 chainrings, as shown above, it works with all 11 speed drive trains. It can easily be converted to a triple with a Zephyr K middle chainring, which has the mounting bolts for 74mm bolt circle chainrings. These are compatible with 8, 9 and 10 speed drive trains. |

The Carmina Compact has a beautiful matte finish, and it's anodized. We stock many lengths; 155mm, 165mm, 170mm, 172.5mm, 175mm, and 180mm for solo bikes. With a few exceptions, we stock all sizes for tandems. We don't stock the shorter lengths for the captain's position, but they can easily be ordered from TA in France. So tandem cyclists can have the optimal crank length, regardless of what your partner needs. Like all TA cranks, you pick the crank length(s) you need, and the chainrings you need. You're not locked into a combination chosen by someone else. |

Since the Carmina Compact right rear crank restricts you to 36, 38 or 40 teeth for the middle ring when set up as a triple, we also offer the Carmina right rear crank for use on a tandem. The styling and quality are identical, so it will look perfectly normal. But since you can choose between many different spiders, you have many more gearing options than with the Carmina Compact right crank. Be aware that the Carmina right crank is not suitable for tandem racing teams. It is suitable for touring and recreational tandem use. If you are a racing tandem team, you should select the Carmina Compact crank (above) for the stoker's right crank, as it can handle the higher torque of a racing team. |

| Carmina spiders attach in the same way that Shimano XTR spiders attach, and require the same Shimano tool to tighten the lockring. When you order a crankset from me, I will of course install the spider, unless you ask that I not.
